The challenge for the sAdhaka

By just acknowledging the other as an object rajas has arisen. Even deeper than that is the mere rising of the "I" as ego or the aham vAsanA , the departure from the natural Blessed state, the falling of the mind down the staircase. Staying in the natural state being so difficult for the mind, what hope for salvation is there without devotion to the Lord?
