Significance of praNava or Om

PraNava: Om
A - U - M is the mind. The fourth, the silence, amAtra is the Self. Dissolve the mind in the Self. 
The mind is the world. Jagat. It is unreal. 
The Self, Pure Consciousness, is Brahman. It alone is Real. 
Brahman satyam jaganmithyA.
